Join the Randolph Arts Guild as we celebrate with
The Randolph Partnership for Children
in their
2021 Art Explosion Exhibition
April 1-30th
In this community exhibit, the Partnership for Children has worked with many childcare centers around the county to display artwork created by infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. these beautiful creations will be on display in the windows of downtown Asheboro businesses throughout the month of April in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Week of the Young Child, April 12-17 this
year.
The Week of the Young Child is an annual celebration coordinated by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, which is nearly 100,000 members strong and includes a network of more than 300 local, state, and regional affiliates.
“The idea behind Art Explosion is simple—to encourage our young children’s creativity and self- expression through a public display of their original art,” Director of Early Care and Education Andee Edelson said. “In tandem with the Week of the Young Child, we celebrate the importance of high quality early learning and the critical role early childhood educators play in the child’s development and learning. It is also a way to bring joy to our community especially during these unsettling times.”
Partnership staff and volunteers mount and organize the art, then hang it in the windows of participating local businesses. Once the artwork is up, downtown is transformed into a month- long outdoor art gallery.
This year, the gallery will be featured on the Randolph Arts Guild website as a virtual gallery!
