The Randolph Arts guild proudly presents the February 2021 Gallery Opening:
With the whispers of 2020 behind us, and 2021 ahead, we all aspire this year to help create new and wonderful beginnings in all that we do.
We are very happy to announce the opening of our first gallery show this year, scheduled to debut Thursday, February 4 . In honor of Black History Month, “Aspire To Inspire” is a virtual exhibit featuring 5 African American artists from Randolph County.
The Randolph Arts Guild recognizes the talent and potential of these local artists and would like to promote their work and achievements thus far. These individuals are progressing as role models in our community and we are honored to assist them in expanding their platform to further the positive influence of their passion, artistry and dedication to sharing their gifts with others.
Session #1: Rodney Bennett has been drawing most of his life. His love of art brought him to teach, but his positive energy is portrayed in all of the characters and stories he creates.
Session #2: Brian Brown is not only a mixed media artist from Asheboro, but works as a bronze sculptor and designer for Carolina Bronze in Seagrove.
Session #3: MaKira Settle is a dancer, singer and songwriter here in Asheboro, and uses her talents to help minister to others and tell stories.
Session #4: Marcus Lowery began his career drawing at a very young age, and now in his 20’s his passion to bring people to life on paper has become somewhat of a ministry.
Session #5: Tobias Trogdon’s music has been an inspiration to those around him. This young pianist and songwriter has been playing and writing music for several years, using it to heal and inspire others spiritually.
The show will be available on our website beginning February 4th, as well as on our YouTube Channel.
